Objectives
The Association intends to introduce a series of community soccer coaching courses utilising a range of highly experienced and qualified FA coaches to ensure that the children get the most appropriate coaching for their age and ability, thus ensuring that they gain an enjoyable and rewarding experience that will provide the enthusiasm to take up competitive football
Consequently the Association sees that this coaching school will enable the formation of our future under 8 teams on an annual basis and also allow for the development of a girls section.
The Association is looking to build upon a number of informal links it has within the professional game in order to develop the community soccer school and ensure that the children get the most appropriate coaching to develop their enjoyment of the game
The Association’s 5-year plan details our intention to improve both the playing and changing facilities on the Glass Park ground for the benefit of the communities of Barnby Dun, Kirk Sandall and other neighbourhood communities.
This will involve the building of a purpose built changing facility, which will also include facilities for off field coaching as well as the development of additional pitches to expand the number of junior teams that can be accommodated on the ground
In addition the 5-year development plan also covers the following;
•Development of Volunteers and Coaches
•Schools Development
•Player Retention
•Coaching & Competitive Opportunities
•Development of Girls Football
•Ongoing Integration of both Senior & Junior Football
Building Improvements
4 sets of dressing rooms, 2 referees rooms, toilet facilities (including disabled toilets), laundry & plant rooms, community room as well as kitchen facilities.
Playing Facilities
Provision of a further 2 junior pitches to facilitate increased numbers of junior players both girls and boys of all ages.
